Today’s audience uses mobile devices in many contexts: as a second screen, on-the-go, and in the store--and they expect a seamless experience on any device. As part of an effort to update its brand, Maytag sought to improve its mobile web experiences for a new generation of customers and DigitasLBi set out to design a richer mobile experience for Maytag.

We set out to design a totally new mobile experience for Maytag.com. I worked closely with the UX and dev teams to deliver a clean UI update that felt as bold as the brand itself. Key metrics for success required modernizing the design and functionality and reducing usability issues. We worked along side a dedicated UX and development team, sometimes working for weeks at a time with our desks pushed closely together. As part of our new design I created a set of icons that are still used by the brand today. Although some things have changed since we launched, much of the original design is still part of the current maytag.com with some elements slowly making their way into other parts of the experience (like the desktop site).

More work
